SAI is a leader in the area of medical facilities. Since 1993, we have focused on healthcare as a primary business platform for development opportunities and investment grade real estate. Today, approximately 50 percent of our portfolio is dedicated to healthcare in the form of medical office buildings attached to regional hospitals in markets such as Houston, Texas, St. Petersburg, Florida and Atlanta, Georgia.

These facilities cover a range of uses from outpatient surgery centers and diagnostic imaging centers to oncology treatment, cardiology, urology, pediatrics, ENT, physical therapy and rehabilitation services.

In addition, Scott & Associates provides development services to the healthcare industry on a local level through build to suit for lease or ownership for professional practices, dependent care such as nursing homes, assisted living and hospice facilities and independent service centers for uses such as imaging, dialysis and laboratories.

Our experience in dealing with the unique challenges associated with a wide range of medical-related facilities gives us an advantage over other real estate firms when evaluating the development and construction of new projects.

Recent Developments and Acquisitions
Bayshore Medical Plaza – Developed two medical office buildings totaling 50,000 square feet in Pasadena, Texas, adjacent to Pasadena Bayshore Medical Center. Project is 100 percent leased to Columbia/HCA

Edward White Medical Arts - Developed two medical office buildings totaling 40,000 square feet adjacent to Edward White Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. Project is 100 percent leased to Columbia/HCA.

Paces Pavilion Medical Center – Acquired 102,000 square foot Class “A” medical office building in Buckhead. Located at 3193 Howell Mill Road, adjacent to the former West Paces Hospital near Northside Drive and West Paces Ferry Road. The project was acquired from HCA Hospitals and Wells Real Estate Funds and is currently leased to some of Atlanta’s most prestigious practices such as Eye Consultants of Atlanta and Peachtree Park Pediatrics.
